Journey Towards a Meaningful Life (JTML) is a series of three interactive workshops for youth offered by ERDC since January 2022.

The purpose of this program is to help young participants build confidence, realize their potential and talents, and face the challenges they encounter in their daily lives and find solutions to them.

Know Yourself & Your Destination

Workshop highlights:

– How can you find the purpose of your life?

– How can you better understand yourself and recognize your self-worth?

– What is the vision of a meaningful career?

Decision Making & Problem-Solving

Workshop highlights:

– Covers the practical aspects of decision-making and conflict resolution

– Factors that influence them and the preparation required before taking a decision

– The root causes of conflicts and ways to resolve them

Explore Your Learning Potential

Workshop highlights:

– How can youth explore their strengths, aspirations, and potentials

– Practical aspects of the process of exploring one’s own potentials

– The attitude required to become a lifelong learner

Syed Sahal

Journey Towards a Meaningful Life (JTML) is led by a team of dedicated and competent mentors, under the leadership of Syed Sahal.

Mr. Sahal is a qualified Industrial and Manufacturing Engineer from NEDUET and a former school teacher. With a particular interest in Science and Mathematics, he began his professional life as a teacher and is now associated with ERDC as a mentor. Syed Sahal has graduated from the 43rd Batch of Parents’ and Teachers’ Certificate with Holistic Parenting as a major.

His interests include reading books on various subjects, from poetry to science, and trying ideas to make his lifestyle closer to nature. Through traveling and other experiences, he has concluded that learning is a lifelong journey that begins when one chooses to leave their comfort zone.

Marwah Ashraf 

Workshop Leader (Girls)

Marwah Ashraf is a Graduate of BS in Computational Finance from NEDUET and holds a Post-
Graduate Diploma in Islamic Banking and Finance but having a keen interest in observing life and understanding humans, she opted to do PTCC in the 48th Batch.

Her liking to understand children led her to teach students at her home. Marwah is a lifelong learner who likes spending time with her family, traveling, and reading books.

Sometimes she tries to share her thoughts with fellow humans through writing to mend relationships with people and our Creator. How our eating habits and what we eat affect us is the area she wants to study in detail.

Muhammad Kashif Sangani

Workshop Leader (Boys)

Muhammad Kashif Sangani is a PTCC graduate from the 53rd Batch. His roles include being a son, husband, father, and brother. He is a student of Dars e Nizami and has taught Arabic Grammar, Physics, & Chemistry to O’level students. His interests include reading books, especially on Islam, education, and Modernity. He is interested in Iqbal’s poetry and loves playing football. He initiated an online platform named “International Islamic Academy” where various online courses like Arabic Grammar, Seerah, and Islamic studies for kids and teens are offered.
